Programme Leader in Film Studies
About
Jenny Barrett has been a full-time lecturer on the Film Studies programme since joining Edge Hill University in September 2003. Before joining Edge Hill University she was awarded a First Class Honours degree in BA in Film and Television Studies with Drama and Theatre Studies at Roehampton University in London. She stayed on at Roehampton to complete a PhD on Hollywood's representations of the American Civil War, for which she was awarded a two-year grant from the Arts and Humanities Research Board. During that time she also taught on the undergraduate film programme at Roehampton, and completed a one-year Post-graduate Certificate in Higher Education, for which she received a distinction.
